Black Art Passport: an exercise in support of Black art/ists ©

We’re proud to launch the inaugural Black Art Passport ©(B.A.P)! B.A.P is an exercise in everyday solidarity with and for our Black cultural landscape and creators. As we navigate the continued censorship and defunding of the global majority, it is through collective acts of care that we will be able to sustain the local institutions, spaces and people that enrich our everyday lives. If you believe in the support, stewardship and celebration of Black art—gather your friends, grab your passports and be in community!

This zine was designed by AYA Thought Studio as a learning tool, cultural planner and gesture of support for the Black arts landscape. Comprised of over 30 pages, the 2026 edition is a 5.5 × 8.5 booklet featuring:

    • The events we simply suggestions for shows, work and experiences happening across the U.S. (with a few international options).

  • Space for you to plan two of your own excursions
